The Plaquemines Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is holding its 5th annual canine parade for dogs (and owners too!)  This year's theme is "Pets in the City".

The parade will roll through the streets of beautiful Downtown Gretna on Saturday, February 20, 2010.Registration for the parade is at 10 am at Gretna City Hall, followed by a costume contest (dogs only) at 10:30.

The parade starts at 11 am. Come out and support this wonderful group that operates a no kill shelter in Belle Chasse.

A King and Queen will be chosen from the Royal Court.
